List of Catholic web development firms

    December 1, 2013

This is a supplemental resource for readers of Transforming Parish Communications.

    *****

There are a growing number of Catholic website development firms to serve Catholic parishes and organizations.

At the Archdiocese of Boston, our media group selected Our Sunday Visitor's website group as a partner for parishes.  One of the key factors was their experience at designing solutions with the input of parish staff members and the fact that they have been serving the Church for 100 years and would always be around to service their website.

Another leading parish web designer is eCatholic websites.  Many friends have spoken well of them but I don't have direct experience.

Catholic Tech Talk has produced this list of website builders.

I have also built several websites myself, including this one, and I've used wix.com.  I've found it easy to work with and to build what I've needed fairly quickly.  I think parishes and organizations could also use it if they have someone with moderate technical abilities.

If you would like to recommend a website firm that concentrates on serving the Catholic Church to be placed on this page, please send me an email at tpc@scotlandry.com.
